Our Approach of service as a transformative expression of your unique Art and Response-Ability
A beautiful, transient but grounding opportunity we can bring to our present, shared human experience is the unfoldment of our authentic, unique gifts and talents that contribute to the healing and wholing of the world, and then realizing that the gift we carry for others is not an attempt to save the world but instead to fully belong to it.
It is not possible to save the world by trying to save it, that is just escapism... and here at Mujus we only advocate service that starts as a genuine calling from the heart, we practice active hope and compassion in a way to keep grounding ourselves with our connection to earth and humanity. Embodying the art of service through volunteering at Mujus truly starts as a ripple effect of our individuation & transformational journey... Re-discovering our unique gift to bring to our community or communities in need will be our greatest challenge and opportunity, and the offering of that gift is the most we can do to love and serve the world, without conditioning or seeking for validation, without trying to save anything, just you being you as a bridge, uniquely you as an ART.

Mision
The prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the development of trauma-informed nurturing resilience environments for children ¨at high-risk ¨ in the vulnerable communities of the Andes-Peru.
The name
Resilient Mujus, Planting seeds of Hope. Mujus is a Quechua word which translates as “Seeds” or “Spiritual seeds”
Because Hope lives in the potential of Change and Transformation
Hope is an embodiment of Neuroplasticity, a necessary material to process and reinforce Resilience.
A language of Hope is the expression of our individual and collective strength.
The early Biological Blueprint and the Andean Cultural patterns of domestic violence and fragmentation.
Adverse childhood experiences is often a transgenerational legacy, and patterns of neglect, maltreatment, domestic violence, toxic machismo, and complex trauma almost always originated many generations prior to one´s own; at least this is one of the primary roots here in the Andean Communities.
As Educators that are -trauma-informed-, we promote psychoeducation to public schools, teachers, and parents in the communities to create ACE Awareness, and the psychological and lifelong consequences of complex childhood trauma.
We reinforce this by educating teachers about the importance of co-regulation in the classroom, and how it could impact the wellbeing of the child in a positive way by simply creating a safe space during school hours.
We share healthy resources to cope in stressful family dynamics at home as well as ¨shifting¨ the education from ¨hard discipline¨ to ¨conscious discipline¨.
We use embodied, somatic- folk Art expression with an intention to create new synaptic connections that promote neuroplasticity, this reinforces resilience at a somatic level in children who are exposed to toxic stress.

ACE
Adverse Childhood Experiences *Awareness, Study & foundation.
CTA
The Child Trauma Academy which is a Community of Practice working to improve the lives of high-risk children through direct service, research and education. A major activity of the CTA is to translate emerging findings about the human brain and child development into practical implications for the ways we nurture, protect, enrich, educate and heal children
CRM
The community Resiliency Model- ¨Compassion without Borders¨ main focus is to educate individuals about the biology and neurophysiology of trauma as well as teach simple biologically-based wellness skills, which can help re-set and stabilize the nervous system in children at high risk.
NME
The Neurosequential Model in Education (NME) draws upon a neurodevelopmentally-informed perspective on human development and functioning. The goals of NME are to educate faculty in basic concepts of neurosequential development and then to teach them further how to apply that knowledge to their work with students in and outside the classroom.

For Mujus, Love is not an emotion, Love in its purest essence endures all emotions, Love is everywhere; in the hug of a child, in the concern of a friend or teacher, in nature... in everything.

Creativity is our Soul expressing in its most authentic form.
Is when we are using our precious gifts to birth something new into the world through inspiration and imagination
Compassion
We don´t see compassion as sharing the same feeling or trying forcefully to understand the other, but rather caring about how the other is feeling and trying to help them improve whatever circumstances they are going through, but also taking care of oneself through healthy boundaries
Courage and truth
Courage for Mujus, is such an infinite pillar, as educators or volunteers here we need to be able to embody our truth, which emanates from our heart. To be a living example of this so the children could also feel safe to step into their inner courage and truth and bring it to life
Our mission is to provide alternative, personalized, high-quality care for those experiencing afflictions where Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy has shown efficacy.
